Itinerary Tour 1 Sydney to Perth 13 Days

Day 1 - Sydney NSW to Canberra ACT Australia.

First we welcome you to Across Australia Outback Tours and conduct a short induction. Then we head South to the beautiful Seagate Bridge for a walk along this spectacular structure and ocean view. Next we follow the coast through to Wollongong and then a rest break at Shellharbour village. From there we head through Kiama, Nowra and Jerrawangala national park and stop for some lunch at the lookout. We next travel to Tarago and Bungendore and then into Canberra, the Australian Capital Territory, were we set up in the Holiday Park inviting everyone to explore this beautiful city on our mountain bikes and electric Scooters. When we are all back from exploring we have dinner, drinks and a chat about the day and what we have in store for tomorrow.

Day 2 - Canberra ACT to Echuca VIC Australia.

After breakfast, we take a quick tour of Canberra's key icons, buildings and Lake Burley Griffin. Then it's off on a scenic drive through to Albury. We then head through Ned Kelly country and the historical town of Beechworth on to Wangaratta and to the historic town of Glenrowan, site of Ned Kelly's last stand, for some lunch and a visit to the fateful pub. We then head through to Shepparton and straight through to another historic town at Echuca and the Mighty Murray River, for a Paddle Steam boat trip if time permits, you can make great use of the mountain bikes and electric scooters to explore Echuca. In the evening it is back to the Holiday Park for dinner, chat and drinks.

Day 3 - Echuca VIC to Warrnambool VIC Australia.

Over breakfast we discuss the route we will take to include Melbourne, Bendigo, Castlemaine and Ballarat. After completing the route we set off for the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre at Geelong for a presentation of our original Australian inhabitants. Then we visit the seaside village of Torquay, the home of Bells Beach and continue via the beautiful seaside town of Lorne on the Great Ocean Road. We head along the spectacular Great Ocean Road overlooking the Southern Ocean with beautiful coves, beaches, cliffs and waterfalls. We pass through the seaside towns of Apollo Bay, Cape Otway, Princetown, Port Campbell and Peterborough. Along the way we stop at the many iconic locations including the Twelve Apostles, the Gorge, London Bridge, the Bay of Islands and the Cove stopping whenever required for photos or just to savour nature's wonders. Our lunch stop is wherever takes your fancy and then on to the seaside coastal town of Warrnambool for our overnight, dinner and drinks.

Day 4 - Warrnambool VIC to Barossa Valley SA Australia.

After a late breakfast we hit the road. This is a day of touring along Australia's Great Ocean Road with its beautiful coastline icons and seaside towns. We arrive at Mount Gambier to visit, drive and maybe walk around a Blue Water dormant volcano. Then it is off through the Coonawarra wine-region stopping as required before crossing the border into South Australia. The seaside towns and fishing villages we visit include Port Fairy, Portland, Nelson, Beachport , Cape Jaffa. We head to Murray Bridge up through the Adelaide hills and down into Adelaide for a city tour, lunch and to stock up on supplies. Then it is on to the Barossa Valley wine-region where we book into our Holiday Park and take the opportunity to make use of the mountain bikes and electric scooters or take a stroll to explore the local wineries. Then it's back to our Holiday Park for a chat and dinner, maybe tasting a local vintage.

Day 5 - Barossa Valley SA to Port Lincoln South Australia.

After breakfast we head to the coastal town of Port Wakefield across to Wallaroo and then follow the coast North to Port Broughton, Fisherman Bay and follow a large wind farm to Port Pirie arriving at Port Augusta. Then we head past the Cultana military training area and on to the steel city of Whyalla visiting the lookout in the middle of the town to view the industrial side of the town, the Spencer Gulf, the beaches and the town. We now continue South down the coast to Cowell for a fish and chips lunch at the famous Fish Box Kiosk. Then it's on to the crystal clear waters of Port Lincoln checking into our seaside Holiday Park for drinks, chat and dinner and maybe a stroll or bike/scooter ride around this fishing port town.

Day 6 - Port Lincoln SA to Ceduna South Australia.

After breakfast we follow the coast stopping as required at Penong windmill display and Pink Lake (if weather suits) Coffin Bay, Elliston and some of the many small coastal villages on the way to Streaky Bay for lunch and a walk along the jetty. Next we visit Smoky Bay and Laura Bay and on through to the beautiful coastal town of Ceduna where we book into our Holiday Park in the middle of the town. There is the opportunity to explore on the mountain bikes, electric scooters or take a sunset walk on the jetty returning to the Holiday Park for drinks, chat and dinner.

Day 7 - Ceduna SA to Bunda Cliffs South Australia.

This is the day we start our Nullarbor Plains crossing. We have an early start as there is so much to see today. We head along the Nullarbor Plains crossing to take in the spectacular Great Australian Bight and the Southern Ocean. We will stop as required to view flora and fauna as is appears and visit the Head of the Bight whale viewing centre and maybe spot a whale or two. This is a great place to pick up some of the local history and whaling information. Our next main stop is the famous Nullarbor Road House where we take in some refreshments and local colour. Afterwards we head to Bunda Cliffs and will stop as required for the many great views of the Great Australian Bight. Once at Bunda Cliffs we will camp under the stars right at the cliff's edge. I will cook dinner while you relax on the edge of the cliffs for a beautiful sunset and star-rise.

Day 8 - Bunda Cliffs SA to Norseman Fraser Range Station WA Australia.

Today we continue our Nullarbor crossing. An early rise will repay you with a beautiful sunrise while I prepare your coffee and breakfast. Then we head across the border into Western Australian and the town of Eucla for refreshments and a refuel before continuing our Nullarbor crossing. The landscape is ever changing as we head along the highway to Caiguna Road House. This is also the start point of the straightest road in the world consisting of 90 miles of straight highway, we head off and stopping as required as we drive over airstrips marked on the highway, witness a constantly changing landscape and eagles with wingspans up to 2 metres. The next town we visit is Belladonia and then it is on to our farm stay at Fraser Range Station. This is a working sheep station that invites guests to stay at there Holiday Park. Here we can mingle with the farm animals witness ancient farm vehicles, the shearing shed and various farm equipment. Our hosts then invite us to join them in there camp kitchen for a baked dinner. We then get to sit around there campfire for a few drinks and a chat; a great way to end our Nullarbor Plains crossing.

Day 9 - Norseman Fraser Range Station WA to Esperance Western Australia.

This morning we head for Norseman, stopping as required and then on through Dundas, Salman Gums, Grass Patch, Gibson and on Southwards to Esperance on the amazing aqua waters of the Southern Ocean coastline. Arriving around lunch-time we will tour the town visiting the lookout and its cliff walks, giant round boulders, white sandy beaches with crystal clear water, town wharf, Pink Lake and coastal drive. During the tour we may spot dolphins, whales and maybe a kangaroo on the beach. Once we have checked into our Holiday Park, we end this day with dinner, chat and drinks.

Day 10 - Esperance WA to Albany Western Australia.

After breakfast we then head out through some beautiful farm land up through Munglinup, Raventhorpe, Lake King, Varley, Holt Rock to the unique Wave Rock for lunch. After spending some time at Wave Rock we make our way towards Albany and we visit five great places in this historic town, the National Anzac Centre and its lookout over Albany, the brig Amity tall ship walk through, coastal drive to the blowhole and the old whaling station. We check into our Holiday Park, we end this day with dinner, chat and drinks.

Day 11 - Albany WA to Margaret River Australia.

This is an early start and a big day, we head through Denmark to Green Pool and Elephant Rock in the aqua waters along the coast with the opportunity for a swim or a bush walk in the area. We then head off to the Valley of the Giants and you have the opportunity to go on a tree-top walk. We head North into the town of Margaret River. This is a special afternoon we go on a half day tour of the Margaret River wine-region by a local tour operator. Your tour will be fully conducted and all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the wine, pub lunch, beer, chocolate, nougat and food and be chauffeured around on this amazing local tour of some of Margaret River's best attractions. After the wine tour we check into our Holiday Park.

Day 12 - Margaret River WA to Fremantle WA Australia.

This is a last night stay of our tour, we head to Busselton and its 1841 metres long Jetty with a train that travels the full length of the Jetty with an underwater observatories at the end of the jetty. Then we head to explore Fremantle or Rottnest Island, this town has so much to offer. You can either use the mountain bikes or electric scooters or we can go exploring in the motorhome or catch a ferry to Rottnest for the day. After exploring we check into our Holiday Park for a relaxing evening as this is our last night together and a great time to reflect all the beautiful wonders, towns and places we have all experienced.

This is the last day of our adventure, you can explore Fremantle, Perth or Rottnest Island. You can either use the mountain bikes or electric scooters for local tours, travel into Perth by rail or by ferry to Rottnest for the day. At the end of the day we take you to wherever you are staying in Perth or to Perth International Airport.
